National Apple day!
The children have had a fabulous morning Apple bobbing, making apple crumble on the fire and den making in our wonderful forest school, with our amazing forest school leaders Mrs Murray and Mrs Burcher.
What a fabulous PSHE day delivered by Life Education for everyone in School. We all loved meeting Harold!
In KS2 we ended our science unit on sound by making an instrument out of a plastic bottle and creating a poptar orchestra!
The children in KS2 had a great afternoon on Tuesday with a visit from Lancashire Heritage, Professor and Ratus-Ratus as part of our learning about the Great Plague.

This week we had an Art Day in KS1 with Beverley Chapelhow of Atelier Art. We linked this to our topic ‘The Place I live’ using natural resources found in our Forest School . The children did observational drawings, made their own paint brushes, used charcoal for the first time and did some wonderful printing. It was a fabulous day
What a fun day the children in KS1 have had harvesting apples in the Forest School! We can't wait to cook them...yummy!
