• Art Day with Beverley Chapelhow - Natural Art

  This week we had an Art Day in KS1 with Beverley Chapelhow of Atelier Art. We linked this to our topic ‘The Place I live’ using natural resources found in our Forest School . The children did observational drawings, made their own paint brushes, used charcoal for the first time and did some wonderful printing. It was a fabulous day

  

• Collecting Apples

  What a fun day the children in KS1 have had harvesting apples in the Forest School! We can't wait to cook them...yummy!

  

• Roald Dahl Day 2022

  Today is Roald Dahl’s birthday so we have had many activities linking to this wonderful author

  KS1 - Have been learning about his life and then looking at extracts from ’The Enormous Crocodile’ and ’Fantastic Mr Fox’, they even made their own fox or crocodile .

  KS2- Watched a tutorial about drawing faces in the Quentin Blake style, then they used the Roald Dahl thesaurus to write about their characters.

  We pride ourselves on providing a bespoke curriculum for our pupils in a beautiful setting in the heart of the Forest of Bowland.   Today, the staff came together to put the finishing touches to school before the children come back on Monday.

  We are so excited to see you all!
