Statement of Intent

At Brennand's Endowed, we want our children to learn a language in an enjoyable and stimulating way. We want our children to be curious about language and develop an interest in learning different languages. Our languages teaching will enable pupils to communicate in a different language and help to deepen their understanding of the world. Our curriculum helps children to learn progressively, acquiring new vocabulary organised around different themes. We hope to provide firm foundations for further language teaching at secondary school.

MFL Aims at Brennand's Endowed

• Develop the creative, technical and practical skills needed to perform everyday tasks confidently and to participate successfully in an increasingly technological world.
• Build and apply a range of knowledge, understanding and skills in order to design and make high-quality prototypes and products for different users.
• Be critical and evaluate/ test the ideas and products of others.
• Understand and apply the principles of nutrition and learn to cook.
