Friends of Slaidburn School (FOSS)

 

 

 

 

The Friends of Slaidburn School (FOSS) plays an important role in supporting the school by raising additional funds for resources, activities and experiences that benefit all our children.

As a small school, some opportunities can come with additional costs, particularly transport for school trips. Through our fundraising, FOSS helps towards these costs, reducing the financial burden on families and helping our children to access fantastic experiences beyond the classroom.

Funds raised also support new equipment, learning resources and those special extras that create lasting memories, including a Christmas present for every child when Father Christmas visits.

Could you help us?

There are lots of ways to support FOSS, and you don’t need to make a huge commitment to make a real difference.

You could support us by attending events, purchasing tickets, donating raffle prizes, volunteering at an event or joining the FOSS Committee.

Committee members typically attend around four evening meetings per year, either face-to-face or via Teams, and help at events where their availability allows. This may include school show raffle sales, discos and our Dunsop Teas events.

We welcome whatever time, ideas or support you are able to offer.
